Peru Mission 2008

I just returned from a great time sharing the hope we have in Jesus Christ with the people in Trujillo & Lima. As always the people of the churches were very gracious and passionate about seeing other people come to a [ersonal relationship with Jesus Christ. Even as I flew down, I spoke with a professional ice skater who was very open to hearing how Christ can impact our lives. You learn not to judge people by their facial expressions too. One man, Jose, was a guard and looking very "sternly" at several of our team sharing the Gospel with locals. When I approached him, he was very open to what we were sharing and placed his faith is Jesus as Lord & saviour. Not everyone made decisions to follow Jesus, but many seriously considered Him. I'm always amazed by the irony of how people have little to nothing yet give sacrificially to help others in need. The crusade had over 700 attend outdoors and over 1300 people made decisions to put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation. If this wasn't enough, while at the airport our last night, a young girl from Canada, about 20 years old, became very interested in the relationship we spoke about with Jesus. Hopefully, she too will find hope in Christ.
